DIY Acorn Top Birds’ Nest Ring Tutorial from Salt Tree here. Kids could help find acorns for these rings, help pick colors for the “eggs”, and arrange the moss in the rings. *Obviously not little kids who put everything in their mouths and may choke on small parts.

Materials: 

A strip of fabric about 3”x8”

Thread + a needle

A hairpin

Beads

How To:

1. Fold fabric in half, do a loose running stitch down the length. Pull the fabric tight to cinch.

2. Sew the ends together.

3. Sew the flower to the hair pin. Do multiple loops around it so it stays tight.

4. Sew beads to the center of the flower.
